The central window in the following screen shot shows a database – Collocates.dbf – which contains the keyword from a search with three items to the left and right of it. The words have been deposited into separate cells (boxes in the row by column matrix). Databases can be edited freely with other software, e.g. Microsoft Excel, and can be used for chart generation when they contain information on files and finds for files, see section on chart generation in Corpus Presenter (Version 10 upwards).
